DONT BE A GLADIATOR! PLAY LESS, WIN MORE! WIN UP TO $3,000 CASH PLUS HUGE FREEROLL ENTRIES

Februar 22, 2011

Gibraltar — 22nd February 2011 — The new March promotion at http://www.partypoker.com/ seems to defy logic? In an industry first, PartyPoker.com is giving players the opportunity to ‘Play Less and Win More!?’

Getting underway on the 1st March and running to the 31st March the new promotion is simple. All a player has to do is select the prize level that best suits their play then hit the steadily DECREASING points targets as the month progresses. What’s even more unbelievable is that as the point targets go down, the value of the prizes INCREASE! There are six different prize levels: at level one a player needs just 15 points, while at the top tier level six $3,000 in cash is available.

For full information see: http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/play_less_win_more.html

How it works:

o   Select your Prize Level and opt in

o   Meet the points target for your first prize

o   Continue hitting the smaller points targets for even better prizes

o   Keep everything you win

Take a look at the example from level one below to see just how little you’ll have to play to take advantage of Play Less, Win More (there are six levels to choose from).

For example:

Target Points Prize
1 5 $ 500 FR
2 4 $ 750 FR
3 3 $ 1000 FR
4 2 $ 1500 FR
5 1 $ 2000 FR

o   In Prize Level one, you’ll only need to pick up five points to claim the first prize

o   Then, to pick up the next prize, the points required falls to just four

o   As the prizes get better, the points you need drop. You’ll need just one for the final reward

o   Don’t forget; you keep every prize you hit

Tips for success:

o   Play at your own pace:
Targets do not have to be met in a single day. Spread the early, large point requirements over several days if you wish

o   Choose your Prize Level wisely:
We’ve created six Prize Levels to suit everyone, from casual players to hardcore grinders. Find out which level suits you best in the ‘Prize Levels’ tab

o   Aim to complete your chosen Prize Level:
Remember you get to keep all the prizes you earn. As the prizes get bigger, the points targets reduce making it even easier at the end of each level

o   Wait until the following day for new targets:
Don’t forget, you cannot meet the points requirement for multiple targets in a single day. The start time of a new target will always be 00:00 ET the following day

It may sound as if we’ve gone crazy but this really is an offer where we’ll reward you for less work in March. Opt in from 1st March and you can Play Less, Win More.

TRICKETT FOILED AS NATALIA NIKATINA WINS WPT PARIS NATIONAL SERIES PRESENTED BY ACFPOKER.FR THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING! THEY CANNOT BE WORSE THAN THE FRENCH!

Februar 16, 2011

Paris – 16th February 2010 – 23 year-old Natalia Nikatina scooped €243,830 and the title of champion at the €5,000 WPT Paris National Series Main Event, presented by http://www.acfpoker.fr/, at the world famous Aviation Club de France in the early hours of this morning. The win, at a final table that included the white hot Sam Trickett, was the very first live major tournament cash for the rookie from St Petersburg!

“That was a long and hard contest,” said Natalia, “three hours before the end I was actually finding it hard to stay awake and keep concentrating on my game but I am delighted to win. I am going to celebrate by buying a BMW 6 Series!”

Nikatina beat experienced Parisian pro Alexandre Brivot after a gruelling heads-up that went on all night. The chip lead swung a number of times but it was to be second place for Brivot, who finished 14th at WPT Amneville in 2010. The chip leader going into the final table was another popular Parisian in the form of Benjamin Pollak but all eyes were definitely on the UK’s Sam Trickett, who, fresh from big cashes at the 100K and 250k tournaments at the Aussie Millions, is on the run of his life.

One person who had something to say about Natalia’s win was Tony G. “I hosted a PartyPoker.fr challenge at the WPT Paris National Series to prove that the French are the second worst players in the world after the Russians. What can I say now? The Russians are coming – the French are definitely the worst.”

Full information on how the final table played out can be found at: the http://www.partypoker.com/blog/featured/nikitina-natalia-is-the-wpt-national-series-efop-paris-champion.html

FINAL TABLE SET AT WPT PARIS NATIONAL SERIES CAN ANYONE IN THE WORLD STOP SAM TRICKETT?

Februar 14, 2011

Paris – 14th February 2010 – The final table is set at the WPT Paris National Series Event, presented by http://www.acfpoker.fr/, at the world famous Aviation Club de France in the heart of Paris and it starts at 4pm tomorrow. The chip leader is Paris’ own Benjamin Pollak, with PartyPoker.com German online qualifier Ingo Paulus sitting in second place. Short stacked, but still at the final table, is the one and only Sam Trickett, easily the hottest player in the poker world at the moment.

Poker commentator Jesse May was there to witness the next installment in the rise and rise of Trickett. “ Right now, Sam is the scariest poker player out there. There is nobody in the world whose heart doesn’t jump when he sits down.”

Trickett recently won the $100k buy-in tournament at the Aussie Millions and finished second in the $250k a couple of days later.

Venice – 9th February 2011 — Alessio Isaia became the first Italian to win a major WPT title as he scooped €380,000 and the Main Event title at the WPT Venice, presented by http://www.partypoker.it/, at the historic Casino di Venezia in Italy.

As well as the title and prize money, the tuxedo wearing Isaia also secured a $25,500 seat for the WPT World Championship at Bellagio and a Tiffany bracelet. Isaia, who hails from Cuneo in Piedmont said: “I’m very happy. I’ve been trying to win a big tournament for three or four years. I came close in the EPT but  I never achieved it. I’m even more happy to win it in Italy, my home country, it is really special. I’m very very tired. We played for eight hours heads-up, which was exhausting. Mayer was a very good opponent. The money will enable me to play other tournaments, but I’m more happy with the title and the bracelet.”

In the end Mayer was unable to become the second Hungarian to win a WPT title – narrowly failing to join his fellow countryman Andreas Koroknai, who won the WPT LA Poker Classic last year.
