BUBBLE BURSTS AT WPT VENICE, PRESENTED BY PARTYPOKER.IT TOTTI HAS GONE AND VAMPLEW IS THE VENETIAN DEEPSTACK!

Venice – 6th February – The bubble has burst at the beginning of day three at the WPT Venice, presented by http://www.partypoker.it/. The five day €3000 + €30 Main Event takes place in historic rooms with high ceilings featuring amazing water views and priceless artwork from the 16^th and 17^th century. The event, the largest to ever take place in Venice at a glorious casino reputed to be the oldest in the world, attracted an excellent 523 runners and will be televised and globally distributed by the WPT.

The total prize pool is €1,521,930, with first prize taking home €380,000, a $25,500 WPT Championship seat and a Tiffany bracelet. A total of 54 players are in the money with Scotland’s EPT London winner David Vamplew the chip leader. Online qualifiers are underway for the televised WPT Vienna, a brand new stop on the World Poker Tour. The event takes place at the famous city’s fabulous Montesino Casino and promises to be one of the highlights of the 2011 tour. HOMANN’S THE MAN! GERMANY’S SEBASTIAN HOMANN WINS THE 2010 WPT® MARRAKECH, PRESENTED BY CHILIPOKER

Marrakech – 2nd December 2010 – 23-year-old Sebastian Homann has won the World Poker Tour® Marrakech Main Event presented by http://www.chilipoker.com/ at Casino de Marrakech, Morocco. Homann, from Hamburg, Germany produced one of the most dominant performances in recent WPT history as he crushed the field, holding the chip lead from Day 1A and conceding it only briefly during heads-up play. Homann takes home €254,745 including a $25,500 entry into the 2011 WPT World Championship at Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Homann started as chip leader at a final table where the most recognizable name was his fellow countryman Dominik Nitsche.  Despite a small comeback by eventual runner-up Guillaume Cescut, Homann’s dominance never looked in danger.

“I felt so good today and really good about my game all week,” said Homann, who bought in directly but is a regular player at presenting sponsor Chilipoker. “I am a recreational player and this is by far my biggest win, I intend to put the money towards a new house and maybe a nice holiday with my girlfriend. I definitely intend to play more live tournaments now and am thrilled to have got entry into the $25k WPT World Championship – this takes everything to a whole new level.  I will have to play more to prepare for the standard of opposition I am going to get there.”

Cescut, a pro from Paris for Team Barriere was pragmatic: “It always looked like it was going to be Sebastian’s day but my time will come again.  I am very much looking forward to the WPT National Series event at the Aviation Club in Paris in February – it’s my home turf.”
