TAKE ON FISICHELLA IN RACE FOR POLE POSITION! ‘king_fisico’ SWAPS THE TRACK FOR THE FELT!

The main aim is to take pole position and make your way to get to the all important race day final table. Have you got what it takes?”

How does ‘Pole Position’ work?

First, warm up with free practice sessions three times a week. The top 50 progress to the first qualifying round.

Customers can get the taste of playing against special guest Fisichella in qualifying round two. These tournaments will take place at 20:55 CET every Tuesday night.

One in five players from each weekly qualifier will make it through to the final qualifying round on Tuesday 8th December to play for a guaranteed €5,000 prize pool. The top eight players in the final qualifier round will make it into the starting grid to play in the €10,000 Race day finale, an exclusive 10 man single table tournament. Every player with a seat at the finale will also get a special edition Fisichella chip set.

If a player knocks out Fisichella in any of these events they will also get a bounty of between €500 and €1,000 or a seat in the Race Day finale. Fisi’s screen name is ‘king_fisico’ so customers are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled for him when they play!

About Giancarlo Fisichella

Giancarlo, also known as Fisico or Fisi, was born January 14, 1973 in Rome, Italy. He recently moved back to Rome with his partner Luna and two children, Carlotta and Christopher. A committed family man he lists his most important thing in life as being his health and to have a happy family.

A veteran of over 200 grand prix starts, with three victories and four Pole Positions to his credit, Giancarlo Fisichella has enjoyed a long career at the top of his profession. He has driven in Formula One for Minardi, Jordan, Benetton, Sauber, Renault, Force India and recently (September 2009) realized his dream of being signed as a Ferrari driver.

Giancarlo, from Rome, Italy, started his motorsport career in karting in 1984. After years of dominating various series, he made his Italian Formula Three debut in 1992. Finishing 2nd in just his second season, Giancarlo went on to take the Championship a year later. After a two year assault on the international Touring Car Championship Giancarlo made his Formula One debut in 1996 with Minardi.

1997 marked the young Italian’s first full Formula One season with Jordan and after an exceptional year, he moved to Benetton, where he stayed for three seasons. A return to Jordan in 2002 saw Giancarlo record his first F1 victory in Brazil, 2003, but for the 2004 season he joined Sauber Petronas where he completed in his 9th season for F1.

His return to Renault in 2005 got off to a dream start when he claimed pole position and the race win in Australia. In 2008 Giancarlo moved to Force India where he put in a number of strong drives, notably at Monaco and Silverstone in 2009. However, it was at Spa Francorchamps that he surprised everyone with a stunning pole position and then arguably his finest race to second position, just one second behind race winner Kimi Raikkonen.

In September 2009 Giancarlo realized his dream of being signed as a Ferrari driver.  He will be racing for the team until the end of the season, and in addition has secured a testing and reserve contract for the 2010 season.
